Planned and Cyclical Works: Outline
Keeping our properties in a good state of repair is one of the most important things we do.
We have a legal responsibility to our customers to keep their homes in a reasonable state of repair. The work is split into three areas; day-to-day repairs (which we call responsive repairs), planned repairs and cyclical maintenance (which needs doing regularly).
Planned Maintenance
This is a programme of major improvements identified for a group of properties; most of this work is often referred to as Decent Homes work and is carried out on our behalf by Dunelm Property Services.
Cyclical Maintenance
This work is carried out in a regular cycle and is mainly the servicing of gas boilers and fires, which are carried out on our behalf by Durham County Council.
