Mutual Exchange: Outline
A mutual exchange is swapping your home with another Dale and Valley Homes or housing association customer. If you would like to do this, you can fill in an exchange card to advertise your property. If you have already found another person to exchange with, you need to make a written request to your neighbourhood officer, who will then consider your request. There are several checks which the neighbourhood officer will need to carry out before permission is granted. This will include checking rent accounts, finding out whether you have been a good tenant and inspecting the condition of both properties.
