Decent Homes: Outline
The Decent Homes standard is a Government housing standard which requires all councils and housing associations to bring their properties up to a certain standard by 2012. There are four main criteria:

meeting the current minimum standard for housing.

being in a reasonable state of repair.

having reasonably modern facilities.

providing a reasonable degree of thermal comfort.
