Changing your tenancy details: Outline
Requests for tenancy changes can occur for several reasons including:

the sole tenant dies and a member of their family wants to take over the tenancy.

a sole tenant wants to create a joint tenancy

a joint tenancy needs to be converted into a sole tenancy

the tenant has changed their surname following marriage or divorce.
The above circumstances do not cover all possibilities and there may be other reasons why changes to tenancies may occur. In all cases the person wishing to change a tenancy must contact their neighbourhood officer for further information and to complete any relevant paperwork.
