Solid Fuel and Oil Appliances: Outline
Dale & Valley Homes, is responsible for carrying out a yearly safety check for all oil-fired boilers, room sealed solid fuel appliances and independent boilers. We will also sweep the chimney of all solid fuel fires and room heaters.
Faulty appliances can give off poisonous carbon monoxide. This cannot be seen or smelled but can kill. We have a duty to make sure that professional engineers check all our appliances every year. Our customers also have a duty under their conditions of tenancy to allow Dale & Valley Homes staff into their homes to carry out the checks.
