Appointments and special arrangements: Outline

Appointments

When you ring to report a repair the call centre team will arrange an appointment which is convenient for you, this will be a morning appointment, which will be anytime between 8.00am and 12 noon or an afternoon appointment, which will be any time between 12.00 noon and 4.00pm.

If you work full time we can offer appointments in the early evening for smaller jobs and on Saturday mornings for some larger jobs. Please discuss your needs with the call centre officer.

For routine jobs you will be sent a repair appointment card through the post. You will then receive an SMS (text) message the day before the appointment as a reminder.

If you have reported a repair and you later find the appointment offered is not convenient for you, please contact the repair call centre on freephone 0800 0830 333 or, if using a mobile, 0300 2000 194.

Once an appointment has been made it is important that you are in when the tradesperson calls. If you are out, the worker will leave a card asking you to contact the repairs call centre to make a further appointment.

Special Arrangements for Appointments

  • If you have a preference of the sex of the person who is going to carry out your repair, please tell our call centre assistants so that this can be arranged.
  • If you feel that you are vulnerable and would like two members of staff to be present at your repair appointment, please tell our call centre assistants so that this can be arranged.
