Brian Myers is a Councillor board director. Read on for an average day in the life of Brian.

Brian is a county councillor and former chairman of the council. He has been involved with Dale & Valley Homes' board since 2006. He became an MBE in 2003 for services to the community.

7am - Breakfast while reading the papers and committee reports.

9am - Go to County Hall

9am to 2pm - I read a lot, doing research for council and police meetings and dealing with constituents' enquiries. If I am lucky on some days I find time for lunch.

2pm - Travel home.

3pm- Tea time when possible.

4pm - Governing body meetings.

6pm to 9pm - More meetings. I attend town council and community meetings, do charity work for Chyrelle Adams Breast Cancer and am a member of the Dale & Valley Homes Board. They all take up my evenings.
