About Homelessness

Homelessness is recognised as a priority housing need. Applicants who are homeless or threatened with homelessness need to contact Durham County Council's housing solutions team who will make a full assessment.

Following this a referral will be made to the relevant Durham Key Options partner who will place the application in the appropriate priority band based on the assessment.
