Introduction

Neighbourhood officers have started to carry out a programme of tenancy audits to make sure we are doing the best we can for each customer.

All customers will be receiving a visit from their neighbourhood officer over the next couple of years. This will be exciting because there are lots of customers we never meet face to face.

When do the audits start?

We started these visits in August so you may already have seen someone. Other people will be contacted when the time comes.

Our first priority is to visit people receiving Housing Benefit and living in three bedroomed properties because proposed benefit changes may adversely affect them. These customers will be helped to cope with whatever changes are introduced.

Customers have nothing to worry about.

The reason for carrying out tenancy audits is to enable us to tailor our services to meet your needs. We will be able to advise you about services we offer such as debt advice, home insurance and gardening.

What will happen at the tenancy audit?

Your neighbourhood officer will ask you a series of question about yourself and your household. You will also be asked to provide identification for all adults living in the household. We will accept the following as identification:

· Passport

· Driving Licence

· National Insurance Card

· Letter from DWP

· Bank statement

A property inspection will also be carried out.

Your neighbourhood officer will send you out a letter with a date and time when they will be calling to carry out the tenancy audit .If the appointment is inconvenient please contact them and they will be happy to arrange an appointment that is suitable for you. At least one tenant must be present at the visit.
