What is a Decent Home?
Basically, a Decent Home is one that is windproof, weather tight, warm and has modern facilities.
A decent home definition
- It meets the current statutory minimum standard for housing
- It is in a reasonable state of repair
- It has reasonably modern facilities and services
- It provides a reasonable degree of thermal comfort
In conjunction with our customers and Durham County Council, we have agreed a programme of works that will be delivered by Esh Property Services and which can be viewed on one of the links below. This programme was developed using information from a number of sources but primarily from stock condition surveys.
