Respect Standard
About our Respect Standard
The Respect standard for housing management seeks to promote assertive housing management from social housing providers, who are expected to show strong local leadership in challenging anti-social behaviour.
Strong housing management can make a real difference to the quality of lives of residents. More than eight million people live in social housing and many more live in neighbourhoods where social landlords are heavily involved in neighbourhood management.
The Respect standard for housing management requires that the services provided, both alone and in partnership with other agencies, properly address issues of concern to local communities. It also expects that landlords manage their work to ensure a culture of respect is nurtured in their neighbourhoods.
Dale & Valley Homes became a signatory to the Respect standard for housing management in April 2008.
