Anti-Social Behaviour
Your Responsibilities
All tenants of Dale & Valley Homes sign an agreement which prohibits them, or those living at or visiting their homes, from doing anything to cause nuisance to anybody else. Your tenancy agreement lists the types of behaviour that are not acceptable. Some of these are:
- Excessive noise;
- Harassment and verbal abuse;
- Unruly behaviour;
- Selling drugs or drug abuse; and
- Playing ball games in the street or close to someone else's home.
You are responsible for your own behaviour and also the behaviour of any friends, family or children who live with you or visit your home. Remember your tenancy agreement prohibits anti-social behaviour anywhere in the local area, not just in your home.
If you are found to be responsible for causing anti-social behaviour we will take action against you. This may include:
- Warning letters;
- Acceptable behaviour contracts - ABCs;
- Anti-social behaviour orders - ASBOs;
- Injunctive proceedings - ASBIs;
- Possession proceedings.
