What do the Community Caretakers do?

Through the Community Caretaking Service we will ensure that tenants who are elderly, have mental health difficulties, disabilities or are vulnerable for any other reason are given the help, support and assistance they require.

The following community issues are undertaken by the community caretakers:

• Removal of litter/rubbish from communal areas;
• Cleaning graffiti;
• Reporting of missing or defective road signs;
• Reporting unauthorised parking and abandoned vehicles;
• Reporting dumped rubbish;
• Reporting vandalism/anti-social behaviour;
• Reporting deteriorating highways/pavements;
• Reporting poor condition of communal flower beds/grassed areas;
• Reporting defects to communal areas such as lighting, flooring and communal doors;
• Internal decorating works to communal areas.
