Our Company

We are Dale & Valley Homes, an Arms Length Management Organisation (ALMO) established in 2006 to manage, repair and improve council-owned housing in the Wear Valley district of County Durham.

Our responsibilities include:

• letting homes
• rent collection, dealing with arrears and debt counselling
• promoting customer involvement, including involving customers in monitoring and reviewing customer guarantees
• enforcing tenancy conditions
• managing lettings, vacant properties and under occupation
• estate management, caretaking and intensive housing management services to help to sustain tenancies

We focus on the delivery of high quality housing management services to customers that offer value for money and respond to local needs and aspirations.  We talk to our customers regularly and most importantly we listen to their views.

In 2009 we were inspected by the Audit Commission, which found us to be providing a (2 star) service to our customers with excellent prospects for improvement.
