Our Board Directors

Colin Stockwell - Chair of the Board

Colin is the Chair of the Dale and Valley Homes' board. He is also Chair of Dale and Valley Homes' Human Resources committee and a member of the finance and audit committee.

Colin is retired from full time work but still does some work as a solicitor.

He lives in Durham City and has a long term interest in social housing and is an independent member of the board.

 

Anthony Garnett

Anthony is the Chair of Dale and Valley Homes' Finance and Audit committee.

Anthony is head of business assurance for the University of Durham. He graduated from Durham with a degree in politics and went on to qualify as a chartered accountant with KPMG LLP.  Since joining the university he has qualified with internal and computer auditing qualifications from the Institute of Internal Auditors and is currently undertaking a PhD in strategic marketing at Durham University.

During 2008-09 Anthony was elected Chair of CHEIA (The Council of Higher Education Internal Auditors). In this role he is liaising with sector stakeholders and interest groups to ensure the development of better and more effective assurance arrangements for the university sector as a whole.

Geoff Paul

Geoff is a member of Dale and Valley Homes' Finance & Audit committee.

Geoff has a long history of being involved in housing throughout the North East. He was the chief executive of Blyth District Council before a unitary council was established in Northumberland in April 2009.

Helen Campbell

 Helen is a member of Dale and Valley Homes' neighbourhoods committee.

She currently works for Sunderland Arc and is a qualified chartered surveyor and is a member of the  Steering Group overseeing preparation of Sunderland's Local Housing Market Assessment.

 

 

 

 

John Flynn

John is the vice chair of Dale and Valley Homes' neighbourhoods commitee.

John has, in addition to his work as a solicitor, experience from a number of roles including Chair of the Local Duty Solicitor Committee, former member of Regional Duty Solicitor Committee and a Law Society parliamentary liaison officer.  He is also a former chairman of a local football club and is very interested in old cars.
