Collecting and analysing equality information is essential in order that Dale & Valley Homes understands the impact of our policies and procedures on customers, and to work towards ensuring that we eliminate any possibility of discrimination or victimisation and promote equality of opportunity.
Why publish equality information?
Publishing equality information will enable customers and other interested parties to assess the performance of Dale & Valley Homes in meeting its targets in regards to equality and diversity. It will explain how and why we have reached certain conclusions and made certain decisions using the information we have collected.
What might the information be about?
In future Dale & Valley Homes will publish a variety of information on its website including details of the profile of customers using a particular service, levels of customer satisfaction with services or those customers making a complaint. We aim to identify the needs of, or any disadvantage faced, by customers and detail how any barriers to effective participation arising from someone's race, disability, gender, gender identity, age, sexual orientation, religion and / or belief have been removed.
Work is currently being undertaken to use this information to improve our services for customers.
