Residents in Crook are being invited to meet builders and architects to find out more about plans to redevelop Greenside Place and Park Avenue Close in the town.

Representatives of the contractor, Frank Haslam Milan, will be there with designs for the new homes planned for the two sites and information about how the sites will be managed to minimise disruption once work begins.

They will also have pictures of similar developments completed in recent years.

Representatives of Dale & Valley Homes will also be on hand to discuss the arrangements for residents who are moving, and to help them with applying for new homes.

The consultation is open to anyone who is interested and will be held at Greenside Place Common Room from 4pm to 6pm on Thursday, March 25.

All the representatives will stay on for the Watergate Action Group meeting from 7 to 8pm.

Pat Wanless, director of housing operations for Dale & Valley Homes, said: "This is a chance for anyone who is interested to come along and meet the people who are directly involved with the project. They should be able to answer any questions people have about the design, layout and how the work will be managed to cause the least disruption possible.

"We will also be able to help anyone who is moving and has not yet made all the arrangements.

"We are looking forward to meeting as many residents as possible and being able to explain the whole plan to them in detail."
